Carrboro Town Commons Play Area
301 West Main Street at the Carrboro Town Hall |
|
Play equipment for ages 2-5 and small (fenced in) open space play
area. Local parents worked together to raise funds
to purchase a large shade sail so that the play area is
now shaded from the sun (previously it was fully exposed to the
sun).
Shade Sail Efforts:
As of July, 2005, and for several years preceding, there
have been grassroots efforts to plant shade trees and
build a shade sail structure at the Carrboro Town Commons
playground to provide some shade for children playing
there. For more information about fundraising
efforts for the shade trees and shade sail, visit www.carrboroparks.org.
