Neighborhood Location: Southern Village is located off 15-501, minutes from downtown Chapel Hill, just minutes from UNC-Chapel Hill, and under 10 minutes to I-40 leading to Durham, RTP and Raleigh. Built in the mid-1990s through early 2000's, Chapel Hill's Southern Village neighborhood incorporates an old-fashioned Market Street and village, where residents can walk to Weaver Street Market grocery store, shops and restaurants. Chapel Hill's Mary Scroggs Elementary School also is integrated into the beautiful Southern Village neighborhood. Southern Village encompasses more than 300 acres and features a wide range of home sizes, styles, and price ranges. Swimming Pool & Recreation: Southern Village's Swim and Racquet Club has an Olympic size pool along with a baby pool, club house and tennis courts. Chapel Hill Schools: Mary Scroggs Elementary School (walk to school!), Grey Culbreth Middle School, Carrboro High School.
